Job Description

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Installer role is to deliver and install client requested furniture at the client’s location/on site according to the specified layout and within the agreed time-frame. 

Operational Responsibilities

1. Assemble and install office furniture (desks, chairs, cabinets, meeting tables, 
etc.) based on provided specifications and design plans to ensure that all 
office furniture is installed in-line with the assembly procedures securely, aligned properly, and functions as intended.
2. Load and offload office furniture and materials from the warehouse into the transport vehicle, ensuring safe and organized packing to prevent damage during transit.
3. Interact professionally with clients/PM/SM to ensure the furniture installation meets their expectations.
4. Comply with all health, safety and environment protocols during installation, particularly regarding heavy lifting, tool usage, and furniture placement to ensure your safety and no damage to client's property.
5. Maintain all tools an installation equipment in proper working order in order to carry work efficiently.
6. Clean all debris, packaging materials, and other waste after the installation is complete to ensure that the area is clean and complies with all health,safety and environment (HSE) rules and regulations.
7. Guide clients on how to best use and maintain the office furniture after installation.
8. Collect feedback from clients regarding their installation experience and provide this information to the Operations Manager for continuous improvement.

Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
Essential (must have to perform the role)

1. High school Diploma/ Trade Qualification
2. 2-4 year's experience in a similar role
3. Demonstrated ability to assemble furniture.
4. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
5. Working knowledge of health, safety and environment policies and procedures for lifting, transporting, and installing  heavy furniture.
6. Demonstrated planning and organisation
7. Demonstrated Communication skills
8. Demonstrated Team work skills
9. Physical ability to lift and move heavy furniture

Desirable (advantageous)

1. Drivers License holder
2. Carpentry experience
3. Certification in carpentry or construction
