Job Purpose

The purpose of Designer - Revit role is to create accurate and detailed architectural and engineering drawing packages from concept through to As built drawings in line with clients needs. The role ensures that designs align with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements, helping to facilitate seamless collaboration between design teams and stakeholders.

Operational Responsibilities

1. Produce coherent and accurate design packages/drawings from concept to as built to meet project requirements.
2. Draft concept drawing against the client brief that reflect the design for the 3D Visualizer and Commercial team so that visuals and a BOQ can be produced.
3. Coordinate with the commercial teams and external key players to determine the project scope and draft schematic drawings to comply with local authority requirements.
4. Coordinate with Project managers and subcontractors to produce detailed construction drawings/models that reflect the full project scope.
5. Communicate design changes and respond to design changes in a timely manner with site team and other internal key players in order to keep the project on track.
6. Reproduce accurate as-built drawings based off photos, redline drawings and Confirmation of Verbal Instruction (CVIs) to be handed over to the client on handover.
7. Drive innovation in design, exploring and recommending new technologies in order to enhance design for clients and customers.
8. Report on a weekly basis, providing updates on progress, challenges, and risks to ensure on time planning, progress, and mitigation measures
9. Work with other designers (internal/external), design coordinators and site staff to extract and impart relevant project information , drawings and deliverables in order to ensure compliance to the construction program/project.

Person Specifications

Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
Essential (must have to perform the role)

1. Bachelors Degree, Associate Degree or Diploma level in Interior Design,  Architecture or other relevant field.
2. 5+ years experience in design and development of projects
3. Demonstrated ability to work a a team.
4. Demonstrated Planning and Organization skills
5. Demonstrated Communications Skills both written and oral
6. Demonstrated ability to use Auto Cad and Revit
7. Demonstrated working knowledge in commercial BOQs and interpretation within drawings.
8. Demonstrated knowledge in local laws, rules and regulations, and standards. 
9. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret design mark-ups and 3D renders. 
10. Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
11. Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Desirable (advantageous)

1. Capability to use Revit/BIM
